Wizarding World of Harry Potter : Osaka Japan

Hi Peeps! Here is my most awaited post about my Japan Series featuring the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Osaka.

I’m a big Potterhead. I remember the excitement back then on watching Harry Potter films and read all the seven books.

I used to make love letters to Daniel Radcliffe himself. I recall all the embarrassing postcards, stickers and my “I LOVE YOU DAN with a lipstick mark” that I mail to Leavesden Studios. (I know… it’s ridiculous … I was twelve, okay? HAHAHA at least I got a newsletter with his black and white picture in return)

 

Anyway, Harry Potter made my life magical from elementary to high school days and it’s an every potter heads dream to visit Hogwarts someday.

So, when I found out that there is a new HP Theme park in Asia, we’ve decided to choose Osaka as our main trip instead of Tokyo!

 

We’ve visited Universal Studios on a weekday to avoid the large crowd. (No. 1 tip.. avoid going on weekends) It’s still pretty crowded even if it’s Monday and most of the park guest had only one goal in mind upon entering the amusement park, and that is the Harry Potter Area. So after we got all the tickets and entered USJ, we dash all the way into the dark forest!

phew… we got in early. No need for timed entry tickets.

Witches/Wizards, Welcome to Hogsmeade…. I’m sure that all of you had your forms signed by a guardian or parent. (tee hee…)

The first attraction that you can see is the Hogwarts Express! ( I literally cried when I saw this)

There are only two rides within the park – Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey (inside Hogwarts castle), and the Flight of the Hippogriff.

Glorious.

So Majestic.

The Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is inside the Hogwarts Castle. We waited for like an hour just to enter the castle (patience is a must in this ride). Nevertheless, the ride is so worth it and you’ll never get bored in line since you can see the glory of the castle outside and some special surprises that you can see upon entering Hogwarts.

So, don’t miss it!
